"The Malborough with South Huish Horticultural Society celebrated it’s 90th anniversary in 2024 and it was my wish that a permanent record be made of our special day. So, I approached Freddie Fryer and asked if he could visit it us all day, on Show day, and record the event from beginning to end. Freddie, a very approachable guy, came to my home and we discussed my basic requirements for the photographs to be taken.
Freddie arrived early on Show day morning, 14th September and introduced himself to exhibitors and judges alike.   He quickly became a very popular individual with his discreet style and set about his work. He snapped his way through the proceedings without causing any disruption or interference. He was very professional and a smart guy. He attended our celebratory luncheon at The Cottage Hotel and continued photographing our guests in a relaxed manner. He rejoined the show in the afternoon, at the village hall, and set about taking snaps of informal situations, the prize winners and the presentation of the trophies.   A huge number of photographs were taken and at the end of the day Freddie left us and said that he would edit his results as soon as possible and send across his final pictures.
When they arrived, shortly afterwards, we were absolutely delighted with the results. All photographs were of an excellent quality, bright and colourful and captured the entire day, with formal and relaxed poses. It was truly a record we shall all treasure of one of the most special days in the history of our Show. We cannot thank Freddie enough."
